A Dreamy Underwater Exploration of New York City

Chapter 1: A Journey Through a Dream
This narrative is a part of my “Dream Journal” series, where I share captivating lucid dreams I've experienced. For those interested, other stories can be found in the designated section. Today, I'm excited to recount a recent lucid dream that took me on an underwater adventure in New York City, complete with quests!
The Vantablack Empire State Building
After a guitar lesson, I was on my way home via the subway. Upon exiting the subway station, I noticed someone pursuing me. To escape, I took to the skies, soaring above the city, which was blanketed in a light layer of snow. A friend sent me playful videos, pretending they were mundane, and one featured vibrant signs proclaiming “New York City” lit in pink LEDs.
Suddenly, I found myself at the top of the Empire State Building, but my phone was dead. I asked a passerby to take my picture. To my astonishment, the building was entirely matte black, resembling obsidian. The stranger informed me it was actually constructed from Vantablack.
The Treasure Hunt
I realized I was lucid and simply declared, "I am in control of this dream." The ease of gaining lucidity struck me, even though it’s not always so straightforward. I ascended to take in the landscape, marveling at the Empire State Building's height, which appeared diminished from the ground. The city glowed with pink lights, prompting me to venture beyond the urban sprawl toward non-existent hills.
At a loss for what to do next in my lucid dream, I recalled the Iktomi quests. I decided to conjure sand, transforming the area into a mini desert, complete with dunes. Manifesting a shovel, I began to dig, quickly hitting something solid—a chest. Upon breaking its rusty lock, I opened it to discover dust and a shiny orange ring, contrasting starkly with the chest's interior. I picked up the ring and discarded the chest.
Underwater New York
My next quest involved exploring the ocean's depths. I searched for an oasis in the desert, and when I found nothing, I created one. With sweeping motions, I formed a large hole that filled with water. Diving in, I reveled in the refreshing coolness of the water, which felt incredibly amusing as I swam, leaving a trail of bubbles behind.
As I descended, I glimpsed lights below. To my amazement, I discovered a small underwater city with unique architecture resembling Chinese houses, adorned with seaweed lanterns. I entered the main building, which opened into a shopping mall. One shop specialized in underwater sports equipment. A door led to a typical mall, marking a clear division between air and water.
I was eager to meet a resident of this aquatic city. Shortly after, I encountered a fish-man with webbed feet and shimmering scales. I attempted to communicate, but he seemed bewildered by my presence.
The Potion Quest
Thinking of more quests, I aimed to visualize my list, hoping it would appear before me. Unable to do so, I remembered the Iktomi potion quest. I began to search for ingredients, finding rusty iron and a raspberry candy in the vicinity. The fish-man offered me a green fruit, leading me to his modest home to mix the ingredients.
In his small, sparsely furnished house, I placed the items in a jar. Despite my efforts, mixing them proved challenging. The potion turned a murky brown-green, making me hesitant to taste it. Ultimately, I did, and the flavor was horrendous, causing me to feel nauseous as I transformed into a fish-man. The unpleasant taste jolted me awake.
