Exciting Apple Hardware Launches Expected Before Year-End

Chapter 1: The Anticipation of New Apple Products

If you’re an admirer of Apple products (or perhaps a reviewer who hasn’t been fortunate enough to receive units for evaluation), it’s time to ensure your credit card is ready.

According to a recent update from Mark Gurman, Apple is gearing up for what he describes as “the most extensive range of new hardware launches in its history” this fall. It appears we have quite a lineup in store.

Gurman suggests that Apple will indeed be quite active this year, with a potential array of new devices including: four new iPhones, an upgraded entry-level MacBook Pro, a larger iMac, a new Mac Pro, an updated MacBook Air, second-generation AirPods Pro, three new Apple Watch models, a budget-friendly iPad, a new iPad Pro, and a revamped iPad Air.

While the majority of these products are anticipated for a late-year release, Gurman speculates that the larger iMac might debut in the spring, along with announcements for a 5G iPhone SE and a new iPad Air.

Section 1.1: Analyzing the Spring Event

However, there seems to be something unusual about this. Why would Apple introduce just one Mac during the spring, alongside two products that appear unrelated to the all-in-one iMac? Furthermore, why would the new iPad Air be released before the iPad Pro? This suggests we might be gearing up for a significant Mac and iPad event in October.

I genuinely believe they will merge the two events. Perhaps we will finally see Universal Control in action. September will likely continue its tradition of focusing on the iPhone and Apple Watch launches.

Subsection 1.1.1: Apple Watch Innovations on the Horizon

Upcoming Apple Watch features and innovations

As for the spring event… that’s the only oddity. It’s plausible that the new MacBook Air might make its debut then, alongside the new iPhone SE and refreshed AirPods Pro. Yet, even that feels a bit peculiar.

Looking ahead to October, I anticipate a grand showcase, primarily centered on Pro Macs. We could see a new iMac Pro, an updated Mac Pro, a more accessible entry-level MacBook Pro, and a redesigned, enhanced Mac mini.

Yes, please, Tim. Just imagine the headlines. Keep in mind that Apple will be racing to conclude its transition away from Intel by then, and they clearly aim to make a significant impact. What better way to bid farewell to the old architecture than by launching a plethora of Apple silicon-powered Macs all at once?

Adding in an M2-powered iPad Pro and an M1-powered iPad Air (why not?!), and the festivities will truly commence. However, iPadOS 16 will need to elevate its performance to get me enthusiastic about that portion of the event.

Oh, and don’t expect any hardware announcements at WWDC. Trust me.

Chapter 2: Anticipated Video Insights

In the video titled "What's Left for Apple in 2023?", experts discuss the potential products and strategies Apple might be considering as we approach the end of the year.

The second video, "Why I'm Leaving Apple in 2024 For Good... (iPhone 15 Pro Max)," sheds light on the reasons behind a major shift away from Apple products, offering insights into user experiences and expectations.

Wrapping Up: Looking Forward

The only aspect of my predictions that raises concern is the spring event; it feels somewhat out of place. Last year’s spring event featured both a new iMac and iPads. However, Apple isn’t obligated to adhere to past patterns—especially considering how crucial this year is for them. I suspect that the spring event may be somewhat subdued, setting the stage for a much more thrilling conclusion to 2022.
