A Journey of Self-Discovery Through Cross-Country Skiing

Chapter 1: Introduction to My Life
Hello, I'm Kristian Skogvold, a 24-year-old Cross-Country skier and student hailing from Norway. Since October 2022, I've been sharing my thoughts on Twitter and I'm excited to start contributing regularly on Medium as well. My primary objectives for posting here are to enhance my writing abilities and connect with inspiring individuals. I plan to share insights that I wish I could have heard when I was younger.
My daily routine revolves around my life as an endurance athlete, competing in Norway's beloved sport—Cross-Country skiing. Each year, I dedicate around 800 hours to training, continuously striving for improvement.
Chapter 2: Academic Pursuits and New Passions
Alongside my training, I am pursuing a master's degree in Sport Science, which I am about to complete. Over the past few years, I have discovered a newfound love for writing, reading, and overall self-improvement. I take pleasure in sharing my knowledge and connecting with others who share similar interests on Twitter, and I hope to foster that same connection here on Medium.
As cliché as it may sound, my long-term goal is to assist others in crafting the lives they aspire to lead. Throughout this journey, I aim to become a better version of myself each day and hope to inspire others to join me along the way.
Chapter 3: Recommended Reading
Here are three books that have greatly influenced me: - The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho - The Almanack of Naval Ravikant by Eric Jorgenson - The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer
I strive to maintain a beginner's mindset, reminiscent of the curiosity we had in childhood, and I encourage you to do the same. Wishing you a wonderful day, and thank you for taking the time to read my story.
