Here’s a comparison of my stats before and after a 10-day vacation:

- After the break: 20 views and 9 reads daily
As illustrated, although the decline isn’t catastrophic, it certainly marks a significant drop from the numbers I was accustomed to prior to my time off.
Should you avoid taking breaks altogether? Absolutely not! There are numerous valid reasons to step away from writing, and I would never discourage anyone from doing so. Just be prepared for the inevitable dip in your metrics.
