Unlocking the Power of Execution: A Guide for 2023

Chapter 1: Understanding Execution
Today, I've got a wealth of information to share, so let's dive right in!
Are you interested in free books?
Absolutely!
How about free stories?
You bet!
Curious about a sneak peek of a brand new series?
Oh, indeed!
I even have some free audiobooks available on YouTube, along with a few motivational tidbits to spark your enthusiasm for 2023.
Initially, I planned to discuss some strategies with you to reassure you that you're not in this alone.
However, I stumbled upon a vlog featuring a Navy SEAL, and I felt compelled to share that insight instead.
In this vlog, he elaborated on the significance of planning and its potential pitfalls.
He stated that he often was the bottleneck in the operation. As the breacher, his role was to stealthily approach the entry point and place a custom charge to either blow open a door or create an opening in the wall, facilitating the team's success.
He emphasized that the operation could not commence until he completed his crucial first step. This step was pivotal, as it determined whether any plan could withstand the realities of engagement.
After setting the charge, he would step back, confirm with the Team Leader, and initiate the action with three powerful words:
"Execute. Execute. Execute."
Or more simply, one word shouted three times.
Only then would the operation begin.
He connected this concept to many of us—myself included—who excel at planning but struggle to take action.
We often find ourselves wishing, wanting, and dreaming.
But each day, we must rise and shout those three words:
Execute.
Execute.
Execute.
Then we need to get to work, taking significant action.
This morning, I tried this approach.
Leslie, my partner, told me to pipe down and questioned why I was shouting at 5 AM.
This reaction is likely how most of the world will respond when you start making strides toward self-improvement or enhancing your circumstances.
It's akin to a verbal game of whack-a-mole; you stick your head out and get smacked back down.
That’s the purpose of training.
This is why we review, adjust, and implement our plans.
It prepares us for the inevitable chaos.
We should have little "if/then" scenarios in mind, as chaos, distractions, and interruptions are bound to occur.
I can speak to this with certainty because I've been "planning" to hit the gym since January 15.
Yet last week, I suffered a slipped disc due to a foolish mistake, which led me to sit idle.
Work obligations intervened, and I felt "too tired."
Then, I prioritized my writing over lifting weights, spending my time on that instead.
There were also household chores, sleep, and those exhausting twelve-hour days that drained my motivation.
This is why that vlog resonated with me.
At times, we end up executing the wrong tasks—working to benefit others or living someone else's life.
Acknowledging this misalignment is crucial; it allows us to pivot and realign with our original goals.
So today, I'm committed to executing my plans.
I encourage you to pursue your objectives, whatever they may be.

Chapter 2: The Importance of Action
In this chapter, we'll explore how action fuels success.
This video, titled "What Does It Mean To Work?" discusses the essence of work and its various dimensions.
As we transition, let’s look at another insightful video.
The second video, "How Does Work...Work?" by Peter Bohacek, delves into the mechanics of work and the principles that guide us.
