Exciting Updates on Futurama: Hit & Run Game Mod

Introduction to Futurama: Hit & Run
For those unfamiliar, The Simpsons: Hit & Run is an engaging action-adventure game set in the beloved Simpsons universe, featuring various characters from the series. Released in 2003 by Radical Entertainment, it was available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, and Windows PC.
This game was a significant part of my childhood and was my go-to on the PlayStation 2. Although I never finished it, I cherished the time spent playing after school. Therefore, when I learned about a fan-created mod that transforms The Simpsons: Hit & Run into a Futurama-themed experience, my excitement was through the roof.
The developer behind this mod conceived the idea in 2015, driven by a lifelong desire to see a Futurama: Hit & Run game. Currently, the mod is still under development, but we have some exciting details regarding its features.
Gameplay and Features Overview
The Futurama: Hit & Run mod will utilize the original game's framework, integrating a revamped map, new character models, vehicles, and a fresh storyline. Set in the 31st century, the action takes place in New New York—a real city name from the show. I have a particular fondness for futuristic and space-themed environments.
The game will unfold across three levels:
- Level 1: New New York (daytime)
- Level 2: Space
- Level 3: New New York (nighttime)
A demo of the mod is expected to be available in September, though the full release date remains unspecified. The developers are committed to taking their time to ensure quality, and a demo trailer has already been released to showcase some gameplay.
