Navigating Life as a Spiritually High-Maintenance Individual

Chapter 1 Understanding Spiritual Maintenance
Could it be that some individuals are destined for a unique lifestyle? Initially, I was clueless about the implications of this, and how swiftly it would transform my life. However, this isn't solely about my journey; you might be a spiritually high-maintenance person too—though perhaps not in the way you think.
What does it mean to be high-maintenance?
This term often conjures images of external appearances or material needs, but in this context, it refers to the invisible aspects of our being.
Spiritually High-Maintenance Individuals
Many of us should prioritize our spiritual maintenance. This entails investing significant time, energy, and consistency into our mental and emotional well-being. Unfortunately, most are unaware of this necessity.
All Devices Require Recharging
Every battery-operated device needs a charge, and so do we as organic beings. Just as some gadgets charge more rapidly than others, our unique wiring means that some of us need more frequent recharging. This intrinsic wiring shapes 95% of our thoughts, feelings, and actions, leading to the formation of pain and trauma that can block our energetic pathways.
These unique experiences and our interpretations of them can create energetic barriers. Consequently, those with more subconscious blockages will require greater spiritual maintenance.
Why Do We Need More?
Due to these blockages, we often struggle to function as others do. Life can feel overwhelming for those who don’t realize their need for extra care. We must engage in practices that maintain our physical, mental, and emotional balance. While some can thrive despite low vibrational activities, many of us cannot.
Do you find yourself feeling irritable or anxious when surrounded by different energies? Does a hectic morning leave you feeling depleted? Excessive external stimuli can quickly drain our energy, leaving us feeling empty and unwell.
Our Path to Renewal
To rise above challenges and stagnation, we must fully commit to our mental, physical, and spiritual growth. This dedication might border on obsession. Unlike others, we can’t afford to miss our meditation or exercise routines. It's crucial to maintain our practices even when we start feeling better—taking our spiritual health seriously is non-negotiable.
Embracing Our Uniqueness
Those who are considered "normal" often do not have to think deeply about their actions. They might experience imbalance in certain areas of life without significant consequences. In contrast, we must seek equilibrium across all facets of existence. A minor disruption can lead to a complete collapse of our well-being.
Acceptance is the key to understanding our needs. Acknowledging that we require additional spiritual care allows us to align with the life we are meant to lead—not just the one we believed was ours.
The Silver Lining
The good news is that those who embrace this truth and implement necessary changes—changes we all intuitively recognize—will lead lives far richer than they ever imagined. For us, the stakes are far too high to remain stagnant.
As the scripture states: "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more." (Luke 12:48)
